CD-ROM business directory launched<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): PT Sumber Daya Multimedia launched yesterday a
\nnew CD-ROM business directory in cooperation with the newspapers
\nRepublika and Bisnis Indonesia and the Internet provider Radnet.<\/p>\n
Eddy Santoso, the marketing director at Sumber Daya
\nMultimedia, said that one disk contains information on 90,000
\ncompanies and their profiles.<\/p>\n
The CD-ROM enables users to do cross-index searches based on
\nnames, lines of business and phone numbers. \"It is far more than
\nthe yellow pages,\" said Eddy.<\/p>\n
Currently released in the silver edition, the CD-ROM
\ndirectory, called the Indonesian Business Directory, also allows
\nusers to print mailing labels.<\/p>\n
Eddy said the company is planning to release its gold edition
\nin March 1997.<\/p>\n
The gold edition will have more features. It will allow users
\nto create a phone book with faxing software, send e-mail and
\nview listed homepages, said Maruto Kolopaking, the company's
\npresident.<\/p>\n
The directory will be updated every six months, and any
\ncompany that wants to be included can register free of charge
\nthrough the homepage of Sumber Daya Multimedia at
\nhttp:\/\/www.rad.net.id\/sdm.<\/p>\n
The CD-ROM can also be purchased online or at designated
\ndealers, bookstores, supermarkets and drugstores.<\/p>\n
Kolopaking said his company expects to sell up to 60,000 in
