Catholic forum inaugurated<\/p>\n
ENDE, East Nusa Tenggara: Ende Archbishop Mgr. Abdon Longinus
\nda Cunha officially inaugurated the Indonesian Catholic Community
\nForum (Forumki) at Ende diocese.<\/p>\n
The ceremony took place at Santo Josef Hall and those in
\nattendance included Ende Regent Dominikus Domi and the regency
\nlegislators.<\/p>\n
In his address, Da Cunha called on the Catholic community to
\nrespect human dignity, democracy and law in the country's
\npluralistic society.<\/p>\n
\"Justice and peace based on Pancasila is the vision of the
\nforum, while developing spiritualism and Christian social ethics
\ntoward better political, economic, social and cultural lives is
\nthe mission of the forum,\" he said.<\/p>\n
According to the archbishop, the decision to establish the
\nforum reflected the awareness of Catholics of their involvement
\nin the country's sociopolitical life.<\/p>\n
\"People have been undergoing various types of injustices and
\npoverty. As members of the Kingdom of God, the forum must be able
\nto play a significant role in helping people deal with these
