        "content": "<p>Carmanah buys Camar field<\/p>\n<p>CALGARY (Dow Jones): Carmanah Resources Ltd. said its GFB<br>\nResources (Java) Ltd. unit has now completed the purchase of<br>\nanother 16 percent interest in the Bawean production sharing<br>\ncontract and Camar field in Indonesia, bringing its interest to<br>\n100 percent.<\/p>\n<p>In a news release, the company said the stake was purchased<br>\nfrom Stirling Resources NL, effective Sept. 1.<\/p>\n<p>The consideration paid included debt forgiveness of $5.5<br>\nmillion owed to Carmanah by Stirling, $500,000 in deferred<br>\npayments and the issuance to Stirling of 1.3 million Carmanah<br>\ncommon shares from treasury.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of the transaction, Carmanah said it now has 41.8<br>\nmillion common shares outstanding and has increased its stake in<br>\nCamar reserves and production by 19 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Carmanah is an oil producer.<\/p>",
