Carlson, Interact tie up<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): United States' Carlson Marketing Group has
\nagreed to form a joint venture with local advertising agency and
\nmarketing consultant PT Interaksi Cipta (Interact)<\/p>\n
Interact's technical advisor Shalini Gopalan said that he
\nhoped the cooperation would strengthen the company's position in
\nthe global market and improve the quality of its human resource.<\/p>\n
\"A partnership with the world's largest (marketing) company
\nmeans elevating the professionalism and quality of Indonesia's
\nmarketing consultancy companies,\" he said, adding that for
\nInteract the partnership would mean a challenge to improve.<\/p>\n
Carlson's president for the Asia Pacific Gerry Pereira said
\nthat the company saw high potential for a marketing consultancy
\ncompany in Indonesia.<\/p>\n
Even though other companies are relocating their base to
\nneighboring countries like Thailand and Malaysia, Carlson would
\ninstead make Jakarta the second base of its operations in
\nSoutheast Asia after Singapore, he said.<\/p>\n
The Carlson Marketing Group includes Regent International
\nHotels, Radisson Hotels Worldwide, and restaurant T.G.I Fridays.
