Car thieves arrested in Bogor<\/p>\n
BOGOR (JP): Local police arrested two alleged car thieves in
\nCibenteng Udik, Parung district, an officer said on Friday.<\/p>\n
Bogor Police chief Col. Hari Setyabudhi said the two men,
\nidentified as Jeprinal Zurden, 39, and Asep Ardi, 40, had been
\nstealing rental vehicles for the past two months.<\/p>\n
\"The two acted as customers who wanted to rent a car. In one
\nincident, they leased a Kijang van from Juwita car rental in
\nSukabumi,\" Hari said.<\/p>\n
\"The men asked the driver to head toward Bogor and stop at a
\ncafe so they could have a drink. Then they slipped some sleeping
\npills into the driver's drink and stole the car with its complete
\ndocuments,\" Hari said.<\/p>\n
Both men have admitted to stealing seven Kijang vans, five of
\nwhich were sold to buyers in Palembang, Lampung and Medan, the
\nofficer said.<\/p>\n
\"The other two cars are being held as evidence,\" Hari said.
