"summary": "The Canadian government has firmly stated its refusal to participate in the ongoing military conflict between the United States, Israel, and Iran, as affirmed by Foreign Minister Anita Anand during a virtual press conference from Turkey. Anand emphasised that Canada was not consulted on the operations and has no intention of engaging in offensive military actions, while also noting the absence of any formal requests from the US to NATO allies for support in securing the Strait of Hormuz. This stance contrasts with earlier remarks from Prime Minister Mark Carney, who expressed regret over the US and Israeli strikes that initiated the conflict on 28 February, amid escalating retaliatory attacks and regional instability.",
