Cambodia welcomes Le Kha Phieu<\/p>\n
PHNOM PENH (Reuters): Vietnam's Communist Party Secretary-
\nGeneral Le Kha Phieu was given a red-carpet welcome upon arrival
\nin Cambodia on Wednesday for a 24-hour visit aimed at ironing out
\nnagging disagreements between the neighbors.<\/p>\n
But while thousands of schoolchildren lined the route from the
\nairport to the city waving flags in welcome, a group of
\nuniversity students staged a noisy rally against Phieu's visit,
\nburning Vietnamese flags inside their campus beside the airport
\nroad.<\/p>\n
Phieu was met upon arrival by all of Cambodia's top leaders
\nincluding King Norodom Sihanouk, Prime Minister Hun Sen and
\nNational Assembly president Prince Norodom Ranariddh.<\/p>\n
Ranariddh said after a recent visit to Vietnam the two
\ncountries had agreed to resolve by the end of the year all
\noutstanding disagreements, including border disputes and illegal
\nimmigration from Vietnam to Cambodia.<\/p>",
