Caltex has new president<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): PT Caltex Pacific Indonesia, a joint venture
\nbetween American oil and gas companies Chevron Corp. and Texaco
\nInc., has appointed Humayunbosha new president, replacing Baihaki
\nH. Hakim effective from Jan. 1, 2000.<\/p>\n
Humayunbosha is currently Caltex's director, senior vice
\npresident and deputy managing director responsible for
\nrepresenting the company's business interests with state oil and
\ngas company Pertamina, directorate general of oil and gas at the
\nMinistry of Mines and Energy and other national agencies.<\/p>\n
Born in Cirebon, West Java on Nov. 27, 1948, the father of
\nthree children has been working at Caltex for 26 years, assuming
\nvarious positions, including three years with Chevron in the
\nUnited States.<\/p>\n
He graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering from the
\nUniversity of Indonesia in Jakarta in 1973 and joined Caltex a
\nyear later.<\/p>\n
Baihaki will retire after handing over the company's
\nleadership to Humayunbosha.<\/p>\n
Caltex currently produces about 750,000 barrels of crude oil
\nper day from four production sharing contracts in Riau, Central
