        "content": "<p>Calls for independent killing probe<\/p>\n<p>JAYAPURA, Papua: An Irian Jaya legislator urged the central<br>\ngovernment on Tuesday to form an independent team consisting of<br>\nIndonesians, Americans, Australians and locals to investigate the<br>\ndeadly ambush in Timika.<\/p>\n<p>Paskaslis Kossay said that the team should be set up as soon<br>\nas possible to probe the attacks.<\/p>\n<p>Many believe the attacks involve the Indonesian Military (TNI)<br>\nwho have denied the charges and blame the separatist Free Papua<br>\nOrganization (OPM).<\/p>\n<p>The first of two ambushes in the Timika district was on Aug.<br>\n21 when two Americans and an Indonesian employed by the mining<br>\ncompany Freeport were killed. Seven other Americans and another<br>\nIndonesian were injured.<\/p>\n<p>The second ambush was on Sept. 21 during which First Sergeant<br>\nEdy Susanto was injured.<\/p>\n<p>OPM has been waging a guerrilla war in the resource-rich but<br>\nunderdeveloped province since the 1960s. --Antara<\/p>",
