        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Digital communication expert Anthony Leong\nassesses that the communication style of Cabinet Secretary (Seskab)\nTeddy Indra Wijaya reflects an adaptive attitude due to its\nresponsiveness and openness.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis attitude was evident when serving various questions from around\n60 journalists at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Friday (10\/4),\u201d\nAnthony stated in an official release in Jakarta on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that Teddy\u2019s attitude reflects a change in the\ngovernment\u2019s communication approach, becoming increasingly adaptive in\nthe digital era.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that the situation where a public official faces dozens of\njournalists simultaneously represents no small communication\npressure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen a public official is surrounded by dozens of journalists and\nremains able to answer calmly, clearly, and structured, it shows strong\ncommunication capacity. This is not just about speaking ability, but\nalso about mastery of substance, message consistency, and readiness to\nface real-time communication dynamics,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe usually rarely appears, but occasionally steps forward to dispel\nstrategic issues. That is very appropriate and necessary in conditions\nlike this,\u201d Anthony added.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that in the context of digital communication, speed and\nopenness are key factors in building public trust.<\/p>\n<p>Based on various studies, transparency demonstrated directly in front\nof the media has a significant impact on perceptions of government\ncredibility.<\/p>\n<p>The Director of the PoliEco Digital Insights Institute (PEDAS) also\nassessed that Teddy\u2019s more fluid yet substantive communication style\nreflects adaptation to changes in audience behaviour, particularly\nmillennials and Gen Z who dominate the current digital space.<\/p>\n<p>Internal implications<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, as Chairman of the Central Board of the Indonesian Young\nEntrepreneurs Association (BPP HIPMI) for the Synergy of Danantara,\nSOEs, and Regional SOEs, he views that such open communication patterns\nnot only impact the public but also have implications for internal\ngovernment communication.<\/p>\n<p>He stated that message clarity and openness can strengthen\ncoordination between ministries and institutions.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, efficient and non-convoluted communication has the\npotential to reduce miscommunication and accelerate decision-making\nprocesses in the bureaucratic environment.<\/p>\n<p>Anthony added that what the Cabinet Secretary has shown is part of\nthe government\u2019s communication transformation towards a more modern,\ninteractive model based on closeness with the community.<\/p>",
