Jakarta (ANTARA) - Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya\nstated that the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah transport operations have run\nsmoothly and in line with President Prabowo Subianto\u2019s expectations,\nfollowing direct field monitoring.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis year, it is our collective hope, the hope of Mr President\n(Prabowo Subianto), that the Eid transport runs better. And\nalhamdulillah, so far it has proven to be the case,\u201d said Seskab Teddy\nwhen met on the sidelines of inspecting the Eid return flow at Pulo\nGebang Terminal in Jakarta, early Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n
The Cabinet Secretary assessed that the handling of Eid transport,\nboth outbound and return flows, shows significant improvement compared\nto previous years, with travel conditions remaining smooth despite the\nincreased public mobility.<\/p>\n
He emphasised that the government targets continuous improvement in\nthe quality of Eid transport organisation each year, in line with\nefforts to enhance the system and cross-sector coordination.<\/p>\n
According to him, the previous outbound flow had run smoothly, and\nthe current return flow period also shows the same trend with minimal\nsignificant disruptions.<\/p>\n
Teddy mentioned that there was one point that experienced a vehicle\nbuildup, but the situation was quickly addressed by field officers, so\nit did not have a widespread impact on travel smoothness.<\/p>\n
He assessed that the swift response from the Ministry of\nTransportation and the Indonesian National Police has been a key factor\nin maintaining traffic flow stability during the Eid period.<\/p>\n
In direct monitoring, he ensured that various land transportation\nfacilities have been checked and are functioning well to support public\nmobility during the return flow.<\/p>\n
Teddy also stressed the importance of direct field checks, not just\nrelying on reports, so that the government can understand the real\nconditions faced by the public.<\/p>\n
According to him, such steps are crucial to ensure that any emerging\nobstacles can be handled quickly and appropriately by the relevant\nparties on the ground.<\/p>\n
He appreciated the efforts of all parties, especially Transport\nMinister Dudy Purwagandhi, who has personally monitored the Eid\ntransport organisation across various transport modes, ensuring optimal\nservice to the public during the outbound and return periods.<\/p>\n
\u201cOf course, we do not want to rely only on reports, and he (the\nTransport Minister) has checked directly, seen for himself, he has gone\neverywhere, checked all land, sea, and air facilities directly,\u201d said\nTeddy.<\/p>\n
With this achievement, the government hopes that future Eid transport\noperations can continue to be improved to provide even better services\nfor the people across Indonesia.<\/p>\n
It is known that Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya,\naccompanied by Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi, monitored the Eid\nal-Fitr 1447 Hijriah return flow at the Integrated Pulo Gebang Bus\nTerminal in East Jakarta, to ensure it runs safely, orderly, and\nsmoothly.<\/p>\n
Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi conveyed predictions that the\npeak of the land transport return flow would occur on 24-25 March and\nincrease again during 28-29 March.<\/p>\n
According to him, the government has prepared various strategies to\nanticipate congestion, including the implementation of national one-way\ntraffic engineering to aid the smoothness of the public return\njourney.<\/p>\n
He also urged the public to utilise the work from anywhere (WFA)\npolicy to plan their travels in order to ease the Eid return flow\ndensity.<\/p>\n
