Java sends 12 karatekas<\/p>\n<p>SEMARANG (JP): Central Java is sending 12 karatekas to fight<br>\nin the KSAD (Army Chief of Staff) Cup national karate<br>\nchampionships in Palembang, South Sumatra, from Sept. 15 to Sept.<br>\n17.<\/p>\n<p>The Indonesian Karate-do Federation (FORKI) Central Java<br>\nchapter secretary Hartono said Wednesday the men's karatekas are<br>\nJoko Mulyono, who will compete in the kumite 55-kgs weight<br>\ndivision, Tino (60-kgs), Heddy (65-kgs), Sitolumai (70-kgs),<br>\nFafan (75-kgs) and Kusbianto (70-kgs) while the women's karatekas<br>\nare Titi Sari (60-kgs) and Evi Herawati, a competitor in the<br>\nindividual kata event.<\/p>\n<p>\"They were selected in a local championship event in<br>\nPurwokerto and we hope that they can compete with karatekas from<br>\nother provinces. The competition in the KSAD Cup will be tight<br>\nbecause Forki uses this event to measure the sports development<br>\nin this country,\" he said. (har)<\/p>",
