Jakarta (ANTARA) \u2013 BYD\u2019s second-generation Seagull electric\nhatchback, known as the Atto 1 in Indonesia, has opened for pre-orders\nin China.<\/p>\n
The latest-generation Atto 1 has received several updates, including\nlarger dimensions and a battery using the latest technology: the\nsecond-generation Blade Battery.<\/p>\n
The Atto 1 has received a positive response in Indonesia, partly\nthanks to its price, which starts at around Rp199 million. So will the\nlatest generation also be launched in the country?<\/p>\n
\u201cBYD\u2019s latest Atto 1 is currently being prepared specifically for the\nChinese market. There is no information yet about bringing it to other\nmarkets,\u201d Luther said.<\/p>\n
He explained that BYD\u2019s current product strategy is to consider\nmodels already sold in China for overseas markets where they are a good\nfit.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is common in the product strategies of several brands: certain\nregions or countries may have models that meet their market\u2019s\npreferences or demand sooner,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Nevertheless, there are currently no plans to launch the\nlatest-generation Atto 1 in Indonesia.<\/p>\n
In China, BYD has opened pre-orders for the second-generation\nSeagull.
