The\nprogramme is designed to help meet school needs and support access to\neducation for children in various regions across Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>Eagle Zhao, President Director of PT BYD Motor Indonesia, stated that\nthe programme is now entering an expansion phase with a broader scope.\nThrough cooperation with its dealer network, the programme aims to reach\n4\u043f\u0440\u0435\u0434\u0435 45 cities in Indonesia to target more schools and students in\nneed.<\/p>\n<p>According to Zhao, BYD Indonesia views sustainability not only as\nbeing related to technological development but also as encompassing\ncontributions to society, particularly the younger generation. \u201cEvery\nBYD vehicle sold becomes part of our contribution to expanding the reach\nof this programme,\u201d Zhao said in a statement in Jakarta on Friday\n(13\/06\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>The \u2018Small Steps for Tomorrow\u2019 programme has previously distributed\n1,200 pairs of shoes and school bags to students in several regions.\nThis assistance was provided gradually to 12 schools spread across\nBekasi, Bogor, Depok, Serang, Semarang, Kediri, Bali, and Lampung.<\/p>\n<p>The implementation of the programme commenced with activities at SDN\n03 Pondok Petir, Depok. The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of\nPrimary and Secondary Education, Fajar Riza Ul Haq, the Head of the\nDepok City Education Office, Wahid Suryono, representatives from\nBenihBaik, the BYD dealer network, and company management.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to running educational programmes in Indonesia, BYD also\nrevealed several social initiatives conducted at a global level. As of May 2026, the company\nreported selling over 16.5 million new energy vehicles in more than 121\ncountries and regions.
