        "content": "<p>Busway project shelters started<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: The construction of eight of 29 bus shelters for the<br>\nBus Rapid Transit (BRT), or busway, project began on Friday, said<br>\nhead of the City Transportation Agency Rustam Effendi.<\/p>\n<p>The eight shelters are located along Jl. Sisingamangaraja,<br>\nSouth Jakarta, and Jl. Jend. Sudirman, Central Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>Rustam said that completion of the construction was expected<br>\nin December.<\/p>\n<p>Other construction projects for the busway include median<br>\nstrips, footbridges and traffic lights.<\/p>\n<p>The assistant to the city secretary for development affairs<br>\npreviously announced that the first busway corridor, from Blok M,<br>\nSouth Jakarta, to Kota, Central Jakarta, would be inaugurated<br>\nnext January.<\/p>\n<p>The project, costing some Rp 117 billion (US$13.76 million)<br>\nwas first introduced in 2001; its opening has been delayed<br>\nseveral times. -- JP<\/p>",
