Busway project needs reviewing<\/p>\n

The construction of busway facilities is underway on Jl.
\nSudirman, South Jakarta, in the fast lane. The question is
\nwhether upon the completion of this project, traffic jams along
\nthis road will be overcome.<\/p>\n
When the busway system is implemented, the buses now operating
\nwill pick up and drop passengers in the slow lane, so that a long
\nline of vehicles behind will be halted every time or take the
\nmiddle lane on their right.<\/p>\n
In this way, two of the road's three lanes will be packed,
\nmaking the entire route congested. Therefore, the jams in both
\nlanes of Jl. Sudirman during peak hours are imaginable.<\/p>\n
I would like to suggest that Jakarta Governor Sutiyoso and
\nrelevant agencies review this project before all the money is
\nspent on it. If the jams are believed to recur with the busway,
\nthe funds should better be used for the repair of school
\nbuildings or clogged drains.<\/p>\n
