        "content": "<p>Beijing (ANTARA) - The ZGC AI International Service Hub (ASEAN), or\nthe Zhongguancun Artificial Intelligence Enterprise Global Expansion\nService Station (ASEAN), was recently officially launched in\nBeijing.<\/p>\n<p>CGS International, a foreign subsidiary of China Galaxy Securities,\nwill leverage ASEAN\u2019s resource advantages to provide professional\ninvestment banking services to Chinese artificial intelligence companies\nexpanding into the ASEAN market.<\/p>\n<p>This information was obtained by the reporter at the Zhongguancun\nForum Annual Conference 2026, which was recently held in Beijing.<\/p>\n<p>The forum attracted participation from government representatives,\nexperts, academics, company executives, and leaders of international\norganisations from China and ASEAN countries to jointly discuss new\npathways for technological innovation cooperation and regional\ndevelopment.<\/p>\n<p>Several guests present stated that China and ASEAN share geographical\nproximity and complementary industrial structures, with broad prospects\nfor cooperation in the digital economy, artificial intelligence (AI),\ngreen technology, and biomedicine.<\/p>\n<p>ASEAN is one of the world\u2019s most dynamic economic regions and an\nimportant partner in the joint development of the Belt and Road\nInitiative.<\/p>\n<p>This year marks the fifth anniversary of the comprehensive strategic\npartnership between China and ASEAN.<\/p>\n<p>In recent years, the development of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0\nhas progressed steadily, while the benefits of RCEP continue to be felt,\nproviding strong institutional guarantees for deepening bilateral\ncooperation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe scale of trade and investment between the two sides continues to\nset new records, industrial and supply chain linkages are becoming\nincreasingly tight, and cooperation in the digital economy and green\neconomy is also developing rapidly,\u201d said Bo Shanglang, Chairman of the\nASEAN Economic and Trade Promotion Association.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSoutheast Asia is a large consumer market for technological\ninnovation, and Indonesia has become the core of digital transformation\nin ASEAN,\u201d said Qu Tian, Founder of ATM Capital. He explained that\nIndonesia\u2019s e-commerce sector is developing rapidly with significant\nconsumption potential. The Chinese e-commerce logistics company J&amp;T\nExpress, founded and developed in Indonesia for over 10 years, has now\nbecome Southeast Asia\u2019s largest logistics company with daily shipment\nvolumes exceeding 120 million packages.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, ASEAN countries have a strong need for digital\ntransformation, while China has accumulated rich experience in AI, big\ndata, and cloud computing. In the future, both sides need to promote\ncloser ties between research institutions, universities, and companies,\nincluding through the establishment of joint laboratories, technology\ntransfer centres, and innovation incubators.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, mechanisms for policy coordination should be explored to\nsupport cross-border mobility of innovation factors, enabling talent,\ntechnology, capital, and data to flow more smoothly across the\nregion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can focus on digital infrastructure connectivity, promoting the\ndevelopment of cross-border optical cables, 5G network deployment, and\nsmart city construction. In the areas of new energy vehicles, renewable\nenergy, and green finance, both sides can strengthen technology\nexchanges and jointly create new growth points,\u201d added Bo Shanglang.<\/p>\n<p>In recent years, technological innovation cooperation between Beijing\nand ASEAN has yielded significant results. Last October, the China\n(Beijing Sub-centre) - ASEAN Trade and Investment Promotion event was\nsuccessfully held, with the establishment of an industrial and supply\nchain cooperation fund.<\/p>\n<p>Several Beijing companies signed cooperation agreements with\ncompanies from Indonesia and Malaysia in green trade and smart energy\nmonitoring. In the same month, the Beijing Economic-Technology\nDevelopment Zone also organised companies to participate in the\nSoutheast Asia Sustainable Development Expo, achieving more than 80\npotential cooperation projects.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the past, delivering one package in Indonesia could take five to\nseven days; now it basically only takes two to three days. Efficiency\nhas improved significantly, encouraging more people to use e-commerce\nplatforms,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Wu Junjie, General Manager of the Commercial Department at Sembcorp\nDevelopment Ltd., noted that Indonesia has a population of over 270\nmillion with a vast consumer market, rapidly developing digital economy,\nand significantly growing AI applications. \u201cIndonesia has the largest\ndigital consumer base in ASEAN, requiring foundational algorithms like\nthose from Zhongguancun and large-scale applications in industry. This\nmarket has a strong demand for technological solutions, and the\npotential for future cooperation is enormous,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Wang Ziyuan, Chairman of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce in\nChina, assessed that China-ASEAN cooperation is now moving from\ntraditional trade towards deeper innovation synergy, industrial synergy,\nand ecosystem synergy.<\/p>\n<p>China has strong innovation capacity, a complete industrial\nfoundation, and extensive application scenarios, giving it complementary\nadvantages with ASEAN.
