        "content": "<p>Bus terminal probe continues<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): An 1992 investigation to determine how PT Wahyu<br>\nPermata was able to so shoddily build the Kampunng Rambutan<br>\ninter-city bus terminal is still going on according to Governor<br>\nSurjadi Soedirdja.<\/p>\n<p>\"We have never stopped investigating the irregularities in the<br>\nconstruction of the facility,\" Surjadi said late last week.<\/p>\n<p>The case was initially expected to be completed by the City<br>\nInspection Office by the end of 1992. It is unclear why it was<br>\ndelayed until today.<\/p>\n<p>The Rp 8.6 billion (US$4.3 million) terminal was inaugurated<br>\non Oct. 5, 1992 by then governor Wiyogo Atmodarminto. A week<br>\nlater, however, its driveway and platform were already falling<br>\napart because they were not built to the required specifications.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the poor works, the developer was forced to repair the<br>\ndamage and reconstruct a number of facilities.<\/p>\n<p>The governor denied that the developer will not be<br>\ninvestigated further.
