PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) has temporarily suspended\noperations of bus fleet DMR 715 on the Corridor 9 route between Pinang\nRanti and Pluit after the vehicle emitted thick smoke whilst stopped at\nPancoran bus shelter.<\/p>\n
The incident occurred on Saturday (14\/2\/2026). Transjakarta issued an\napology over the matter.<\/p>\n
\u201cPT Transjakarta extends its sincerest apologies for the technical\ndisruption involving bus fleet DMR 715, owned by DAMRI operator on the\nCorridor 9 route (Pinang Ranti-Pluit) at Pancoran shelter on Saturday\n(14\/2) at 13:33 WIB,\u201d said Transjakarta Head of Public Relations and CSR\nDepartment Ayu Wardhani in a statement on Monday (16\/2).<\/p>\n
Ayu explained that the incident was caused by a radiator leak. She\nsaid officers had already addressed the situation.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe incident involving smoke emanating from the rear engine bonnet\ndue to a radiator leak was swiftly handled by field officers,\u201d she\nsaid.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll passengers were safely evacuated to the shelter area and\ntransferred to the next bus in an orderly manner,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
She stated that the company had temporarily halted operations of the\nbus. Ayu said the vehicle would undergo a comprehensive inspection.<\/p>\n
\u201cTransjakarta has decided to ground the bus fleet temporarily. This\nmeasure was taken to conduct a comprehensive check and ensure every unit\nmeets strict roadworthiness standards before being permitted to resume\npassenger service,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, the company is conducting an in-depth internal\ninvestigation and inspecting 59 articulated CNG-powered Zhongtong brand\nbuses, particularly their cooling systems.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are committed to zero tolerance for any neglect of technical\nstandards in order to guarantee passenger safety and comfort as our\nforemost priority,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
