        "content": "<p>Bus plunges in Padang ravine<\/p>\n<p>PADANG, West Sumatra: Two people died and eleven were injured<br>\nwhen an \"Amanah\" intercity bus, on its way to Padang from<br>\nSijunjung, plunged into a ravine, 15 meters deep, at the Panorama<br>\nSatu Sitinjau Lauik curve on Friday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Antara reported that apparently the brakes failed on the 32-<br>\npassenger bus and the driver, Syahrul Ahyar, could not control<br>\nit.<\/p>\n<p>The deceased were identified as Mismar Syukri, 47, a nurse<br>\nfrom Padang Sibusuk subdistrict, and housewife Halima Latif, 70.<\/p>\n<p>Those injured are currently being treated at the Dr M. Djamil<br>\ngeneral hospital and the Reksodiwiryo military hospital in<br>\nPadang.<\/p>\n<p>The driver is being detained at Padang police headquarters for<br>\nquestioning.(10)<\/p>",
