A bus driver died during a return trip from Slili Beach, Pulegundes\n1, Sidoharjo, Tepus, Gunungkidul. The driver collapsed while the bus was\nin motion.<\/p>\n
The Head of the Tepus Police, AKP Suryanto, explained that the\nincident began when the victim, Didik Wahyu Setyanto (47), a resident of\nPurwoyoso, Ngaliyan, Semarang, Central Java, was driving a group from\nBatang, Central Java, to Slili Beach for a tour. Around 3:00 PM, the\ngroup began their return journey from the beach.<\/p>\n
\u201cDuring the return trip, at the intersection of Slili Beach, the\nvictim suddenly collapsed to the left side (driver\u2019s seat),\u201d he said\nwhen contacted by reporters on Friday (May 15, 2026).<\/p>\n
Fortunately, the bus was moving slowly at the time. The bus conductor\nimmediately helped Didik and stopped the bus.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe conductor and passengers then helped the victim out of the bus\nand immediately contacted the Tepus Police and Community Health Center,\u201d\nhe said.<\/p>\n
In response to the report, police and medical personnel immediately\nwent to the scene. However, Didik could not be saved.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter an examination by officers from the Tepus 1 Community Health\nCenter, the victim was pronounced dead and then taken to the Wonosari\nRegional General Hospital,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Regarding the cause of Didik\u2019s death, Suryanto suspected it was due\nto an illness he had. Given the results of the examination at the\nWonosari Regional General Hospital, no signs of violence or abuse were\nfound on the victim\u2019s body.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe also communicated with the family to arrange for the victim to be\npicked up at the Wonosari Regional General Hospital,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
