Bung Karno admirers<\/p>\n
Over 30,000 admirers of Indonesia's founding president,
\nSukarno, commemorated the anniversary of his death in his
\nhometown of Blitar in West Java on Sunday.<\/p>\n
A security threat marred the event, when police found two
\ncocktail bombs in an auditorium on the third floor of the
\nHerlingga Jaya Hotel, where one of Sukarno's daughters,
\nRachmawati Soekarnoputri, would stay.<\/p>\n
The noisy crowd came from all over the province and jammed the
\nstreets of this tiny town, where Sukarno was born in 1901 and
\nburied 29 years ago.<\/p>\n
Locals said the crowds were far larger than the ones in
\nprevious years because people were not only commemorating
\nSukarno, but also celebrating his eldest daughter Megawati
\nSoekarnoputri's likely victory in the elections.<\/p>\n
Megawati's secular-nationalist Indonesian Democratic Party of
\nStruggle (PDI Perjuangan) holds a strong lead in the June 7
\ngeneral election.<\/p>\n
People waved PDI Perjuangan's flag and shouted \"Long Live
\nMega\", and \"Mega for Presidency\".<\/p>\n
While Megawati and Abdurrahman Wahid, the leader of Nahdlatul
\nUlama Muslim organization and founder the National Awakening
\nParty (PKB), canceled their trip, other notable guests including
\nformer vice president Try Sutrisno and former defense minister
\nEdi Sudrajat were present.<\/p>\n
Rachmawati was scheduled to hold a media conference at
\nmidnight on, among other things, the Sukarno family's plan to
\nrebury the founding president's body in Bogor, West Java.<\/p>\n
Separately, two revelers were killed and nine others injured
\nin a train accident. The victims were identified as Joko Santoso
\nand Sumali, both from Malang, 30 kilometers north of Blitar.<\/p>\n
The victims were discharged off a train wagon which hit a
\nelectricity pole in Talun subdistrict, about 15 kilometers away
