        "content": "<p>State logistics company Perum Bulog\u2019s Finance Director Hendra Susanto\nhas targeted the completion of food aid distribution\u2014comprising 20\nkilogrammes of rice and four litres of Minyakita branded cooking oil\u2014to\nresidents of North Sumatra by the end of June 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\"I am directly monitoring Bulog North Sumatra\u2019s readiness regarding\nthe food aid, with a completion target by the end of this June,\" Hendra\nstated in Medan on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that the food aid is already prepared in respective\nwarehouses and merely awaits immediate distribution to the public\naccording to schedules coordinated with the local government.<\/p>\n<p>He further explained that the Government programme aims to partially\nfulfil the community\u2019s staple food needs.<\/p>\n<p>Perum Bulog Regional Leader for North Sumatra, Budi Cahyanto, added\nthat food aid has been distributed to 757,987 beneficiaries, equivalent\nto 43.14 per cent of a total 1,756,846 recipients.<\/p>\n<p>\"From that distribution, the amount of rice already delivered is\n15,159 tonnes, and 3,031,948 litres of Minyakita cooking oil,\" Budi\ndetailed.<\/p>\n<p>Budi expressed hope that the food aid would help meet community needs\nwhilst supporting efforts by the Regional Inflation Control Team at the\nprovincial and district\/city levels to manage food inflation.<\/p>\n<p>The number of food aid recipients in 2026 has increased compared to\nthe October\u2013November 2025 period, when 844,696 beneficiaries were\nrecorded.<\/p>",
