        "content": "<p>Purwokerto (ANTARA) - Perum Bulog\u2019s Banyumas branch office has\nresumed the distribution of food assistance for the February-March 2026\nallocation in Banyumas Regency, Central Java, as part of efforts to\nmaintain community food security. \u201cToday we are distributing food\nassistance to the community at the Kedungwuluh Ward Office, Purwokerto\nBarat Subdistrict,\u201d said the Head of Perum Bulog\u2019s Banyumas Branch\nOffice, Prawoko Setyo Aji, in Purwokerto, Banyumas Regency, on Thursday.\nHe stated that the distribution of this food assistance is part of the\ngovernment\u2019s efforts to maintain food security while helping the\ncommunity meet their basic needs. Therefore, he said, the food\nassistance distribution is expected to ease the burden on the community,\nparticularly in fulfilling needs for rice and cooking oil as main food\nitems. In this regard, he continued, the food assistance targets\nresidents who have been registered as beneficiaries in accordance with\napplicable regulations. \u201cThe number of food assistance recipients (PBP)\nin Purwokerto Barat Subdistrict is 4,428 PBP, with the rice distribution\nquantum reaching 88,560 kilograms and cooking oil amounting to 17,712\nlitres,\u201d he said. Previously, he said, Bulog Banyumas had also\ndistributed food assistance for the February-March allocation in\nSomagede Subdistrict, Banyumas Regency, on 13 March 2026, to 7,059 PBP\nwith a quantum of 141,180 kilograms of rice and 28,236 litres of cooking\noil. Overall, he continued, the total number of food assistance\nrecipients in 2026 in Banyumas Regency reaches 286,920 PBP, an increase\nof 72,278 PBP compared to 2025, which recorded 214,642 PBP. \u201cThe\ndistribution of this food assistance is carried out in stages because it\nawaits the readiness of cooking oil from the producers,\u201d he said. His\nside will continue to coordinate with local government and related\nagencies to ensure that the food assistance distribution process runs\nsmoothly and on target. \u201cWe hope this food assistance can help the\ncommunity in meeting basic needs as well as maintaining the stability of\nrice supply and prices in the community,\u201d Prawoko emphasised.<\/p>",
