        "content": "<p>Medan (ANTARA) - Perum Bulog\u2019s North Sumatra Regional Office states\nthat the realisation of shelled maize absorption in the region has\nreached 1,989 tonnes from January to 4 April 2026. \u201cThe absorption of\n1,989 tonnes of shelled maize was carried out in several areas in North\nSumatra,\u201d said the Regional Head of Perum Bulog North Sumatra, Budi\nCahyanto, in Medan on Sunday. Budi stated that the absorption was\nconducted, among others, in Deli Serdang Regency, Padang Lawas Regency,\nDairi Regency, and Batu Bara Regency. Furthermore, he added that\nabsorption potential remains available in Karo Regency, Dairi Regency,\nand Pakpak Bharat Regency. \u201cFrom the absorption in various areas, we now\nhave around 4,000 tonnes of maize stock in the warehouse, sufficient to\nmeet livestock feed needs,\u201d he said.
