        "content": "<p>Perum Bulog has confirmed that rice availability and food\ndistribution in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) remain secure to meet public\nneeds and support various government assignments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are ensuring that the mobilisation and unloading of rice proceed\nsmoothly. The incoming rice will be managed and distributed according to\nneed, so that food availability for the people of NTT remains secure,\u201d\nsaid Perum Bulog Operations Director Andi Afdal in Jakarta on\nWednesday.<\/p>\n<p>He said the company has directly monitored the unloading of national\nmobilisation rice (Movenas) at Labuan Bajo Port, NTT. To date, 150\ntonnes of rice have been unloaded at the port.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe monitoring is carried out to ensure the loading and unloading\nprocess runs well, while maintaining rice quality before it is\ndistributed according to needs on the ground,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>During the monitoring, Andi Afdal was accompanied by Perum Bulog\nMarketing Director Rahmanto Amin Jatmiko, along with relevant officials\nincluding the Head of the Logistics Management Division, Head of General\nAffairs Division, Head of the Procurement and Food Management Division,\nand the Head of Bulog Ruteng Branch.<\/p>\n<p>He also said the monitoring is part of efforts to ensure rice\nmobilisation and distribution run smoothly so that the needs of\ncommunities in NTT can continue to be met.<\/p>\n<p>Andi further said the available rice stock will be optimised to\nsupport various public food needs and government assignments, including\nfood assistance, handling communities affected by natural disasters, and\nthe implementation of the Food Supply and Price Stabilisation programme\n(SPHP).<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Perum Bulog Marketing Director Rahmanto Amin Jatmiko\nstressed that the company continues to ensure smooth food distribution\nto areas in need.<\/p>\n<p>Bulog continues to coordinate and monitor on the ground so that\navailable rice can be distributed promptly according to need.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn disaster conditions, distribution is certainly one of the main\nconcerns so that food assistance can be received by the public quickly\nand accurately,\u201d said Rahmanto.<\/p>\n<p>To strengthen food availability in NTT, Bulog has confirmed that\ncurrent rice stock stands at around 35,000 tonnes. In addition, Bulog is\npreparing an additional stock of around 40,000 tonnes to be mobilised\ngradually from several regions, including West Nusa Tenggara (NTB),\nSouth Sulawesi, and East Java.<\/p>\n<p>The stock reinforcement is an anticipatory measure by Bulog to\nmaintain supply adequacy while providing flexibility in meeting various\npublic food needs and government assignments according to developments\non the ground.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Perum Bulog President Director Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani\nstressed that the company would strengthen rice availability in NTT\nthrough additional supply mobilised from several regions.<\/p>\n<p>In supporting disaster response in NTT, Bulog also continues to\ncoordinate with local governments and relevant parties to ensure food\nassistance can be distributed quickly, accurately targeted, and in line\nwith the needs of affected communities.<\/p>",
