        "content": "<p>The rice reserves held by Bulog Cirebon are in a safe condition.\nAbsorption is still ongoing to date.<\/p>\n<p>The head of Perum Bulog\u2019s Cirebon Branch Office, Imam Mahdi,\nexplained that the stock in Bulog\u2019s warehouses reaches 136,000 tonnes.\nThis amount is sufficient to meet food needs for the next 11 months.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat is the public service obligation (PSO) rice stock. Meanwhile,\nwe have about 9 tonnes of premium quality commercial rice stock,\u201d he\nstated on Tuesday (7\/4).<\/p>\n<p>Even with abundant stocks, Bulog Cirebon continues to absorb rice and\npaddy from farmers. The stock of government-assigned commodities is\nprepared to meet distribution needs to the market through the SP2KP\nprogramme or food assistance in the Bulog Cirebon working area.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to rice, Bulog Cirebon also has stocks of several other\ncommodities. These include 2 tonnes of sugar, 17 tonnes of flour, and\n176,000 kilolitres of MinyaKita cooking oil. The 176,000 kilolitres of\nMinyaKita stock is managed under the Domestic Market Obligation (DMO)\nscheme for distribution to markets through SP2KP market operations.<\/p>\n<p>The cooking oil is then sold to the public by retailers at the\nHighest Retail Price (HET) of Rp15,700 per litre.<\/p>\n<p>Not only that, Bulog Cirebon has also been assigned by the government\nto absorb corn. Currently, the corn stock controlled by Bulog Cirebon\nreaches 1,500 tonnes.<\/p>\n<p>Imam once again assured that the food stocks in Bulog Cirebon\u2019s\nwarehouses are sufficient for public needs.
