        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Perum Bulog\u2019s President Director, Ahmad Rizal\nRamdhani, directly distributed rice and cooking oil food assistance to\nbeneficiary families in the Thousand Islands region of Jakarta Province\nas a government stimulus to ease the burden on the public\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n<p>Rizal stated that the distribution of aid as far as Untung Jawa\nIsland in the Thousand Islands represents a tangible manifestation of\nthe state\u2019s presence in guaranteeing access to food for the community\nwithout exception.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe ensure that every member of the public, including those in island\nareas, receives their right to food. No region is too remote to reach.\nBulog is present to ensure that assistance is delivered on time and to\nthe right targets,\u201d Rizal said in the Thousand Islands on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Perum Bulog continues to accelerate the distribution of food\nassistance in the form of rice and cooking oil as part of the government\nprogramme.<\/p>\n<p>Following the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah holiday, Rizal said his team\nimmediately resumed massive distribution of aid, including to areas with\ngeographical challenges like the Thousand Islands.<\/p>\n<p>This acceleration is carried out to ensure that food assistance can\nbe promptly received by beneficiary communities, even if it requires\nnavigating difficult distribution routes.<\/p>\n<p>The state-owned food enterprise is committed to maintaining smooth\ndistribution to the outermost regions.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, the food assistance programme is distributed to 33.2 million\nFood Assistance Recipients (PBP).<\/p>\n<p>In the Thousand Islands region, it covers 4,102 PBPs spread across\nvarious islands, including Untung Jawa Island, Pramuka Island, Kelapa\nIsland, and Harapan Island.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSpecifically on Untung Jawa Island, assistance is distributed to 402\nPBPs,\u201d Rizal stated.<\/p>\n<p>Each PBP will receive 20 kilograms of rice and 4 litres of cooking\noil for the February and March 2026 allocation.<\/p>\n<p>The food assistance programme is part of the economic stimulus in the\nfirst quarter of this year, expected to maintain public purchasing\npower.<\/p>\n<p>Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), household\nconsumption remains the main engine of national economic growth.<\/p>\n<p>With the ongoing acceleration of distribution, including to island\nareas, Bulog is optimistic that the food assistance programme can be\nevenly distributed and provide real benefits to the community.<\/p>\n<p>Sabrina Marsenda, a resident of Untung Jawa Island, expressed deep\ngratitude for receiving aid from the government, noting it was her first\ntime benefiting from the programme.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are certainly thankful; today we received 20 kilograms of rice\nand 4 litres of cooking oil,\u201d Sabrina said.<\/p>\n<p>She hopes similar assistance can continue to help meet household\nneeds and that the quota can be increased so more residents can\nbenefit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you to President Prabowo Subianto for the Bulog rice\nassistance; it has already reached Untung Jawa Island,\u201d Sabrina\nadded.<\/p>\n<p>In agreement, Nahria, a resident of RW 02 on Untung Jawa Island, also\nexpressed joy at receiving the rice food assistance again to ease her\nhousehold needs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m very happy because it\u2019s very beneficial for me and my family.
