        "content": "<p>BULOG has responded to various concerns raised by sugarcane farmers\nin Blora Regency regarding PT Gendhis Multi Manis (GMM)\u2018s operations.\nSeveral measures have been taken to improve governance and enhance the\nsugar mill\u2019s operational performance to safeguard farmers\u2019\ninterests.<\/p>\n<p>BULOG\u2019s Public Relations Division Head Tomi Wijaya affirmed that the\nagency is committed to listening to farmers\u2019 concerns and implementing\nnecessary improvements to support the sustainability of the national\nsugar industry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery piece of feedback from farmers is taken seriously. The various\nimprovement measures implemented reflect BULOG\u2019s commitment to ensuring\nbetter company operations and delivering optimal benefits to sugarcane\nfarmers and all stakeholders,\u201d he stated in a written release on Monday\n(1\/6\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>As part of the rectification efforts, BULOG has proposed a new\nmanagement structure for PT GMM. This step responds to feedback and\nexpectations from sugarcane farmers for more effective, professional\nmanagement focused on improving service to farmers.<\/p>\n<p>The leadership change is expected to strengthen operational\ncoordination, accelerate decision-making, and foster better relations\nbetween the company and farmers as key partners in the sugar\necosystem.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to management reforms, BULOG has submitted a proposal to\nupgrade PT GMM\u2019s boiler machinery to shareholders through established\nprocedural channels. This move aims to enhance production facility\nreliability, ensuring smooth crushing operations and optimising plant\nperformance.<\/p>\n<p>BULOG recognises that optimal sugar mill operations are crucial for\nensuring smooth collection and processing of farmers\u2019 sugarcane.\nTherefore, incremental improvements are being made while adhering to\nsound corporate governance and applicable regulations.<\/p>\n<p>BULOG will also continue engaging and coordinating with all relevant\nparties to ensure effective implementation of improvements while\nmaintaining a healthy, productive, and sustainable national sugar\nindustry.<\/p>",
