        "content": "<p>Bukaka clarifies WB deals<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Publicly listed engineering and design company<br>\nPT Bukaka Teknik Utama stated yesterday it got no projects<br>\ndirectly from the World Bank.<\/p>\n<p>The company clarified its role in World Bank projects in<br>\nIndonesia after newspaper reports said the company had been<br>\nawarded several projects financed directly by the World bank.<\/p>\n<p>The company said it was finalizing several big projects funded<br>\nby the World Bank through government agencies and was negotiating<br>\nwith the government and private agencies for new projects.<\/p>\n<p>The Jakarta Post recently reported that the company planned to<br>\ninstall 150,000 telephone lines in Jakarta and East Java starting<br>\nin April.<\/p>\n<p>The company's investor relations manager, Elaine Eleazar, said<br>\neach telephone line would cost US$1,000. It would cost Bukaka<br>\nabout US$150 million to install the lines. (09)<\/p>",
