Buildings pelted in Bandung<\/p>\n
BANDUNG, West Java: Three house-shops used by church
\ncongregations, a school, a supermarket and at least 20 shop-
\nhouses were pelted by stones thrown by crowds here on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Some of the buildings were then set on fire.<\/p>\n
Police said they were investigating the cause of the people's
\nanger, but said it was believed the people were angry that a Mass
\nhad taken place in a shop-house that morning because it was not
\nan official worship site, they said.<\/p>\n
The affected buildings were in Kopo Indah housing complex and
\nincluded four classrooms in an elementary school there. Other
\nbuildings were in Taman Holis Indah in Cigondewah Kidul
\nsubdistrict and Jl. Taman Rahayu Bandung in Margaasih district
\noutside the capital.<\/p>\n
Crowds arrived while Mass was being held in Kopo Indah at
\nabout 9:30 a.m.<\/p>\n
West Bandung Police chief Lt. Col. Robert Mokodongan said no
\none had been arrested.<\/p>\n
No one was hurt in the incidents.<\/p>\n
Antara reported that the sites were being used by Christian
\ncongregations.<\/p>\n
Djoni Djohandi, an official at the school of BPK Penabur in
\nTaman Holis, was quoted as saying he was surprised at the attack
\ngiven the good neighborly relations.<\/p>\n
"Besides studying activities, we do not have any religious
