        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2013 PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) has continued\ndemonstrating positive performance in early 2026. Through February 2026,\nthe company recorded a net profit of Rp503 billion (bank only basis) or\nsurged 281.9 per cent year-on-year compared to the same period last year\nof Rp132 billion.<\/p>\n<p>According to the monthly financial reports on the company\u2019s official\nwebsite, the increase in net profit has been supported by growth in\ninterest income reaching Rp4.59 trillion through February 2026 or\nexpanding 11.7 per cent year-on-year. Simultaneously, BTN has\nsuccessfully reduced interest expense to Rp2.19 trillion or declining\n14.4 per cent year-on-year.<\/p>\n<p>This strategy has driven BTN\u2019s net interest income (NII) to increase\nsignificantly to Rp2.39 trillion, up 54.7 per cent year-on-year compared\nto the same period last year of Rp1.55 trillion.<\/p>\n<p>From an operational perspective, BTN has also recorded operating\nprofit of Rp636 billion, increasing 219.3 per cent year-on-year compared\nto February 2025 of Rp199 billion. This increase reflects the\neffectiveness of the company\u2019s strategy in managing costs and\nstrengthening business fundamentals.<\/p>\n<p>This performance growth aligns with an enhancement in the company\u2019s\nintermediation function. Through February 2026, BTN\u2019s credit\ndistribution reached Rp341.16 trillion or grew 8.6 per cent year-on-year\ncompared to the same period last year of Rp314.09 trillion. The increase\nin credit distribution has also driven growth in the company\u2019s interest\nincome in early 2026. On the funding side, BTN\u2019s third-party funds (DPK)\nhave also recorded positive growth with a position of Rp375.28 trillion\nor increased 13.2 per cent year-on-year compared to February 2025 of\nRp331.63 trillion.<\/p>\n<p>In line with credit growth and public fund collection, BTN\u2019s total\nassets increased 12.2 per cent year-on-year to Rp459.29 trillion as of\nFebruary 2026, compared to the February 2025 position of Rp409.36\ntrillion. This growth reflects the company\u2019s increasingly strong\nbusiness fundamentals amid rising economic activity.<\/p>\n<p>BTN Chief Executive Officer Nixon LP Napitupulu has previously\nexpressed optimism that the company\u2019s performance will continue to\nimprove throughout this year in line with the business transformation\nbeing implemented.
