        "content": "<p>PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) is continuing to\ntransform its business to become a financial partner for Indonesian\nfamilies. Its strategy involves developing a housing ecosystem,\nexpanding home financing and accelerating digital services. The steps\nare also intended to strengthen BTN\u2019s role in supporting the national\nhousing programme.<\/p>\n<p>In a BTN press release on 26 October, president director Nixon L.P.\nNapitupulu said the bank was not focusing solely on home-ownership\nfinance or mortgage banking. It is also developing financial services to\nmeet customers\u2019 needs at different stages of life.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are pursuing this transformation while maintaining BTN\u2019s mandate\nto support national housing finance, and at the same time extending our\nservices to cover the various products and financial needs of Indonesian\nfamilies,\u201d Nixon said at a focus group discussion entitled \u201cBTN\nTransformation: Building Synergies for Sustainable Business Growth\u201d in\nBandung, West Java, on Friday, 23 October 2026.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"developing-low-emission-homes\">Developing low-emission\nhomes<\/h3>\n<p>BTN is also integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG)\nprinciples into the development of the housing sector.<\/p>\n<p>One initiative is the Low-Emission Homes programme. By June 2026, BTN\nand its developer partners had built about 18,000 low-emission homes.\nThe bank aims to increase that number to 200,000 by 2030.<\/p>\n<p>BTN is also developing waste-management programmes in residential\nareas. It is running initiatives to support entrepreneurship in the\nhousing sector, involving university students, the public, developers\nand business operators.<\/p>\n<p>These programmes create opportunities to develop more environmentally\nfriendly housing solutions while encouraging business participation in a\nsustainable economy.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"preparing-talent-for-business-growth\">Preparing talent for\nbusiness growth<\/h3>\n<p>Human-resource development is part of BTN\u2019s transformation agenda.\nThe bank aims to recruit more than 100 graduates from global\nuniversities by 2027 to strengthen its capabilities and\ncompetitiveness.<\/p>\n<p>BTN is also enhancing employee skills and developing technology to\nrespond to changes in the financial-services industry.
