BT opens Jakarta office<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): The British Telecommunications (BT), one of the
\nleading telecommunications operators in the world, will boost its
\npresence in South-east Asia by opening a representative office in
\nJakarta.<\/p>\n
A press release made available to The Jakarta Post here
\nyesterday said that the representative office was opened on
\nWednesday with David Payne as its business manager.<\/p>\n
"Over the next three years, we plan to boost sales revenue
\nfrom Indonesia for our business services and to identify join
\nventure opportunity with local companies," BT's regional manager
\nin South-east Asia Michael Thio said.<\/p>\n
Over the next three months BT plans to conduct a series of
\npromotional activities with the state-owned international
\ntelecommunications firm PT Indosat and its affiliate PT
\nSisindosat, to promote BT's concert product and services to
