        "content": "<p>BSN may lose membership in ISO<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): The International Standardization Organization<br>\n(BSN) and the International Electro Technical Commission have<br>\nthreatened to suspend the membership of the National<br>\nStandardization Agency (BSN) for not paying its membership fees.<\/p>\n<p>BSN chairman Herudi Kartowisastro said the two agencies had<br>\nwarned BSN to pay its membership fees immediately or face<br>\nsuspension.<\/p>\n<p>\"BSN has yet to pay its ISO membership fee since last year,<br>\nwhile it hasn't paid its dues to the International Electro<br>\nTechnical Commission since 1999,\" Herudi was quoted as saying by<br>\nBisnis Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>He said that the unpaid membership fees to the two agencies<br>\nreached a total of Rp 1.14 billion.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the fees should be paid by the Ministry of<br>\nForeign Affairs, but it had delayed payment due to cuts in the<br>\nministry's budget.
