One such\neffort is holding the Regional Coordination Meeting for Monitoring and\nEvaluation of the Implementation of the President\u2019s Directive Programmes\nBatch III in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan. \u201cThis activity is held to\nproduce a comprehensive picture of achievements, obstacles, and policy\nstrengthening needs as a basis for formulating more operational and\nresponsive policy strategy recommendations to regional conditions,\u201d said\nBSKDN Head Yusharto Huntoyungo in a statement in Jakarta on Friday.\nAccording to him, the success of implementing national priority\nprogrammes is not only determined by the quality of policies formulated\nby the central government, but also by the ability of all stakeholders\nto translate and implement them effectively down to the regional level.\nTherefore, cross-sector coordination and consolidation are key to\nensuring the 10 Presidential Directive Programmes, ranging from economic\ngrowth, inflation control, Free Nutritious Meals, construction of 3\nmillion homes, the Red and White Cooperatives, People\u2019s Schools, food\nself-sufficiency, Free Health Checks, Garuda Schools, to the eradication\nof extreme poverty, can run optimally and provide real benefits to the\ncommunity. Yusharto also emphasised that data is a crucial instrument in\nensuring these programmes are on target. Therefore, regional governments\nneed to have data that can accurately describe targets, locations, and\nprogramme progress. \u201cThe key is not the quantity of data, but the\naccuracy of data for decision-making. For the 10 priority programmes,\ndata must be able to answer three questions: who, where, and what is the\nprogress down to the district, city, and even sub-district and village\nlevel if possible,\u201d he stated. This effort is considered important to\nensure national development targets, particularly in the economy, public\nwelfare, and human resource development, can be achieved through\neffective policies in the regions. Furthermore, he expressed hope that\nthe Regional Coordination Meeting Batch III would not only serve as an\nevaluation forum but also produce innovative and implementable policy\nrecommendations to strengthen central-regional synergy in executing\nnational priority programmes.<\/p>",
