Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Domestic Policy Strategy Agency of the\nMinistry of Home Affairs will continue to oversee the implementation of\nvarious national priority programmes to ensure they run effectively, on\ntarget, and have a real impact on society.<\/p>\n
Head of the Domestic Policy Strategy Agency (BSKDN) Yusharto\nHuntoyungo, in his statement in Jakarta on Wednesday, said that every\nregion has characteristics and great potential that can be developed to\nsupport development success.<\/p>\n
Therefore, the implementation of national priority programmes needs\nto be carried out adaptively, taking into account the needs and\ncapacities of each region.<\/p>\n
\u201cShowcasing its uniqueness and having very great potential. For us,\nthere is no poor region; all have potential ready to be actualised into\nadvanced and prosperous regions for their communities,\u201d said\nYusharto.<\/p>\n
This was stated by Yusharto at the Regional Coordination Meeting for\nMonitoring and Evaluation of the Implementation of the President\u2019s\nDirective Programmes Batch I in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi.<\/p>\n
According to him, the President\u2019s Directive Programmes are national\npriority agendas that must be seriously overseen by all levels of\ngovernment because they directly relate to public needs, from inflation\ncontrol, food self-sufficiency, eradication of extreme poverty, to\nimproving the quality of basic services.<\/p>\n
Therefore, the implementation of programmes in the regions requires\nstrengthened coordination, policy synchronisation, as well as integrated\nmonitoring and evaluation.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe President\u2019s Directive Programmes are national priority agendas\nthat must be seriously overseen by all levels of government. These\nprogrammes directly touch on public needs, so their implementation in\nthe regions requires policy synchronisation, strengthened governance,\nand integrated monitoring and evaluation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
According to him, the forum is important for strengthening the\nquality of policy recommendations to make them more operational and\nsuited to regional conditions.<\/p>\n
He added that monitoring and evaluation of programme implementation\nshould not be interpreted merely as administrative supervision, but must\nbe able to serve as an instrument for policy improvement oriented\ntowards solving field problems.<\/p>\n
\u201cMonitoring and evaluation (monev) should not be interpreted as\nactivities to find faults. Monev must become an instrument for policy\nimprovement, not just administrative supervision,\u201d said Yusharto.<\/p>\n
He said that BSKDN is currently strengthening its policy hub function\nas a strategic policy nexus within the Ministry of Home Affairs.<\/p>\n
Through this strengthening, BSKDN seeks to connect data, analysis,\nfield issues, and policy recommendations to support more targeted and\nevidence-based decision-making.<\/p>\n
According to him, the success of the President\u2019s Directive Programmes\nultimately should not only be measured by administrative achievements,\nbut by how much the public truly feels the tangible, fair, and\nsustainable presence of the government.<\/p>\n
