        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk recorded\ndouble-digit growth in small and medium-sized enterprise (SME)\nfinancing, rising 13.67 percent year-on-year (yoy) to reach Rp25.69\ntrillion as of April 2026. According to the company, various sectors\ncontinue to grow, particularly those supporting daily community\nactivities, including agriculture and plantations, wholesale and retail\ntrade, as well as education and other services. BSI Retail Banking\nDirector Kemas Erwan Husainy stated in Jakarta on Wednesday that the\ncompany is ready to support the small and medium segment, in line with\nits commitment to contribute to the national economy, especially\npro-people sectors that expand employment. \u201cThis class of small and\nmedium enterprises is one of our targets because their potential is\nenormous if they are nurtured and given appropriate access to\nfinancing,\u201d Erwan said. Amid dynamic conditions, the company remains\noptimistic about the SME segment, which continues to grow solidly. The\nmassive and solid financing expansion is accompanied by adherence to\nprudential principles, ensuring that financing is well-targeted,\nsustainable, and able to support established businesses. According to\nthe company\u2019s records, BSI\u2019s non-performing financing ratio is\nmaintained at 1.80 percent, an improvement from the previous level of\n1.88 percent. Erwan added that the company is also accelerating digital\ntransformation for the SME segment to enhance business capacity and the\ntransparency and accountability of financial record-keeping. \u201cOne of the\ninitiatives is the integrated cash management system BEWIZE by BSI,\nwhich facilitates the mobility of their business management,\u201d he said.\nFurthermore, the company is strengthening MSMEs to help them advance\nthrough various strategic measures, including business mentoring,\ntraining, business matching, the provision of BSI UMKM Center services,\nand halal certification assistance for supported MSMEs.
