PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BSI) has achieved the global\nstandard ISO\/IEC 27701:2025 certification regarding the Privacy\nInformation Management System (PIMS) for its services on the BYOND by\nBSI super app and customer care operations.<\/p>\n
BSI Deputy President Director, Bob T. Ananta, emphasised that the\ncompany ensures customer data privacy governance operates with high,\nmeasurable, and sustainable security standards. According to him, this\nachievement is not merely about regulatory compliance, but a fundamental\nmandate to maintain public trust.<\/p>\n
\u201cBeing the first bank to achieve the ISO\/IEC 27701:2025 certification\nis both a significant achievement and a responsibility for BSI,\u201d Bob\nstated in a press release in Jakarta on Thursday.<\/p>\n
He added that for the company, protecting personal data is a direct\nreflection of implementing Sharia values in maintaining customer trust.\n\u201cSuperior services must be built upon a foundation of security,\ntransparency, and absolute respect for customer privacy,\u201d Bob\nremarked.<\/p>\n
Technically, the implementation of ISO\/IEC 27701:2025 on the BYOND by\nBSI service ensures that all data management follows a\n\u2018privacy-by-design\u2019 approach. The system is designed with strict access\ncontrols, privacy risk mitigation, and continuous monitoring.<\/p>\n
In the customer care sector, identity verification and the fulfilment\nof data subject rights now operate in accordance with international\npractices.<\/p>\n
Bob explained that customer data security is an essential part of the\ncompany\u2019s work culture, known as EMAS (Empathy, Serving, Enthusiastic,\nwith All Our Heart).
