PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BSI (BRIS), has recorded\npositive performance in its gold business.<\/p>\n
As of June 2026, BSI had traded 8.06 tonnes of gold through its\nbullion bank service, with customers exceeding 1.3 million people.<\/p>\n
Since the beginning of 2026, the number of BSI bullion customers has\nincreased 700% year-on-year, simultaneously driving fee-based income\n(FBI) growth in the gold business of 712% annually.<\/p>\n
BSI\u2019s Finance & Strategy Director, Ade Cahyo Nugroho, said that\namid a still challenging economic environment and a tendency among the\npublic to be more selective in investing, gold has increasingly become\nthe choice for preserving asset value.<\/p>\n
\u201cThrough our bullion service, we want to make gold investment easier,\nsafer and more affordable so that people can begin taking their golden\nsteps towards building long-term assets,\u201d said Cahyo in an official\nstatement on Monday (29 July 2026).<\/p>\n
According to him, the growth of the bullion business not only\nstrengthens BSI\u2019s position as the bank with a national sharia gold\necosystem, but has also become an increasingly significant source of\nfee-based income growth for the company.<\/p>\n
The bullion service complements BSI\u2019s gold ecosystem, which\npreviously offered gold instalment and gold pawnbroking services as well\nas BSI Emas sales.<\/p>\n
In total, outstanding gold pawnbroking and gold instalments at BSI\nEmas had reached Rp 30.5 trillion as of June 2026, growing 80.50%. As of\nJuly 2026, the gold business had driven the company\u2019s fee-based income\nto around Rp 2.10 trillion, or 100% growth compared to the same period\nlast year.<\/p>\n
