The Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS) area has been hit by\nfire once again. This time, the flames have burnt the Pengol Savanna\narea, one of the key locations within the Mount Bromo region.<\/p>\n
Endrip Wahyutama, Public Relations Officer for the TNBTS Grand\nOffice, confirmed the incident. He stated that the fire was detected on\nThursday afternoon (10\/9).<\/p>\n
\u201cRegarding the fire incident in the Bromo area, for the time being,\nwe can confirm that a fire has indeed occurred in the Pengol Savanna\narea. Based on initial information, the incident was known on Thursday\nafternoon, 10 September 2026,\u201d said Endrip on Thursday night.<\/p>\n
As of now, the TNBTS authorities have not been able to confirm the\nexact starting point or the cause of the fire. He noted that field\nofficers are currently focusing on containment and monitoring.<\/p>\n
\u201cRegarding the details of the starting point and the cause of the\nfire, we cannot provide information at this time as officers are still\nconducting handling and monitoring on the ground,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Endrip stated that the firefighting process currently involves\nseveral parties, including TNBTS officers, Manggala Agni (fire brigade),\nand the Fire Care Community (MPA). Coordination with various related\nparties is also ongoing to support field operations.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe current handling involves TNBTS officers, Manggala Agni, and the\nFire Care Community (MPA). We are also continuing to coordinate with\nrelevant parties to support the response on the ground,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, regarding the status of access and tourism activities at\nMount Bromo, Endrip mentioned that the TNBTS leadership is still at the\nscene with the team to coordinate directly.<\/p>\n
