The crayons she holds are no longer intact. Some are broken, others\nreduced to mere fragments of colour.<\/p>\n
Yet from these broken pieces, the dream of Agista Saputri (10) slowly\ncomes to life.<\/p>\n
Within five minutes, one drawing is complete. A house with a red\nroof, a mountain with a sunset, a beach with calm waves.<\/p>\n
\u201cSome cost Rp5,000, some cost Rp10,000,\u201d said Agista when met by\nKompas.com at her home on Jalan Raden Fatah, Ciledug, Tangerang City, on\nThursday (26 February 2026).<\/p>\n
For A4-size HVS paper, she charges Rp5,000. A3-size costs Rp10,000.\nIn a day, three to four drawings can sell.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe money is for buying rice,\u201d she said, showing her drawings.<\/p>\n
The amount may seem small to many. But for Agista, one drawing means\nher family\u2019s kitchen needs are met.<\/p>\n
She comes to her sales location alone, in the morning around\n09.00\u201311.00 or in the afternoon from 15.00 until dusk. She carries the\nstack of papers in her small hands.<\/p>\n
\u201cSelling at Puri Kartika was my own idea,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI can take custom orders too,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
For Agista, drawing is not merely about helping her parents.<\/p>\n
