Semiconductor giant Broadcom has entered into a long-term partnership with Google to develop and produce Tensor Processing Units (TPUs), specialised chips for accelerating AI processing, extending through 2031. The collaboration also involves Anthropic, whose booming business—with annual revenue surging to over $30 billion—will drive the adoption of these components in Google's latest AI server racks. This deal, alongside Broadcom's work with OpenAI, signals a diversification from Nvidia's dominance in AI hardware, with analysts projecting substantial revenue for Broadcom from Anthropic in the coming years.

Semiconductor company Broadcom has agreed to collaborate with Google
to produce artificial intelligence (AI) chips. Broadcom announced its
readiness for this long-term partnership on Monday (6/4/2026). The
collaboration will run until 2031. Under the agreement, Broadcom will
develop the Tensor Processing Unit (TPU), a specialised chip designed by
Google to accelerate AI processing. Additionally, Broadcom must ensure
the supply of networking components and other supporting devices to be
used in Google’s latest AI server racks. Its use will depend on
Anthropic’s business success. Broadcom, Google, and Anthropic are also
exploring partnerships with operational and funding partners to realise
this project. “This innovative partnership with Google and Broadcom is a
continuation of our disciplined approach to enhancing infrastructure,”
said Anthropic’s Chief Financial Officer, Krishna Rao. “We are building
the capacity needed to serve the exponential growth we have seen in our
customer base, while enabling Claude to push the boundaries of AI
development,” Rao continued in a post on Anthropic’s official blog.
Anthropic’s business is currently showing positive growth, with annual
revenue increasing to more than $30 billion (approximately Rp512
trillion). This figure has risen sharply from $9 billion (approximately
Rp153 trillion) at the end of 2025. According to analysts at Mizuho
Research & Technologies, Broadcom is also expected to generate AI
revenue of $21 billion (approximately Rp358 trillion) from Anthropic in
2026, and $42 billion (approximately Rp717 trillion) in 2027. In
addition to Anthropic, Broadcom is collaborating with another AI
company, OpenAI, to develop AI chips. Prior to Broadcom, Anthropic and
OpenAI heavily relied on Nvidia’s graphics processing units (GPUs) to
run generative AI, as compiled by KompasTekno from CNBC.
",
