        "content": "<p>Briton protests detention<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: Jakarta International Montessori School (JIMS)<br>\ndirector Frank Richardson has protested against his detention by<br>\nJakarta Police for allegedly beating his wife during a domestic<br>\ndispute.<\/p>\n<p>\"Richardson is charged under Article 351 of the Criminal Code<br>\non violence,\" his lawyer, Robert B. Quimo said Friday whilst<br>\nvigorously refuting the allegations.<\/p>\n<p>He complained about the lack of access to his British client.<\/p>\n<p>\"I haven't had the chance to meet him because visits are only<br>\nallowed on Mondays and Thursdays.\"<\/p>\n<p>Richardson was arrested on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Sherisada filed a report with City Police on Oct. 27, claiming<br>\nshe was beaten by Richardson.<\/p>\n<p>However, Richardson's secretary, Dina, said the couple were<br>\ninvolved in an assets dispute.<\/p>\n<p>Antara news agency reported Saturday that Richardson's other<br>\nlawyer, Benny K. Harman, had protested that police had not<br>\nstarted formal questioning.<\/p>\n<p>Benny also rejected the services of two interpreters provided<br>\nby City Police, saying they were not officially registered. -- JP<\/p>",
