Moscow (ANTARA) - London is insisting that every meeting between King\nCharles III and US President Donald Trump in Washington, USA, must take\nplace without any cameras, as reported by The Guardian.<\/p>\n
The British newspaper reported that this is to avoid a similar\nincident, such as in February 2025 when Trump publicly reprimanded\nVolodymyr Zelensky during his visit to the White House.<\/p>\n
Previously, on 28 February 2025, Trump criticised Zelensky during\ntheir meeting at the White House to sign an agreement on the joint\ndevelopment of Ukraine\u2019s mineral resources.<\/p>\n
US Vice President J.D. Vance also described Zelensky as an\n\u201cungrateful Democratic Party campaigner\u201d when the Ukrainian leader tried\nto justify his actions, blamed Russia, and warned that the US would feel\nthe consequences of the conflict despite being geographically\ndistant.<\/p>\n
Sources involved in the visit told The Guardian that the British king\nwill appear in front of cameras at the beginning of his main bilateral\nmeeting with Trump on Tuesday, but discussions on substantive issues\nwill not be recorded.<\/p>\n
British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper will accompany King Charles\nIII during the event with Trump, with her main role being to help defuse\npotentially awkward situations if necessary, The Guardian reported.<\/p>\n
