        "content": "<p>The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) is continuing its\nefforts to legally commercialise alternative fuel oil (BBM) derived from\nprocessed plastic waste. BRIN provided assistance to a Community\nSelf-Help Group (KSM) engaged in processing plastic waste into fuel in\nYogyakarta on Friday, 12 June. BRIN, together with Pertamina, is\ncurrently mentoring the community group. The agency, in collaboration\nwith the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), is also\nstudying whether the alternative fuel from waste processing can be sold\nlegally. Head of BRIN\u2019s Energy and Manufacturing Research Organisation,\nCuk Supriyadi Ali Nandar, stated that BRIN has tested several fuel\nproducts from plastic waste processing to improve their quality\naccording to standard parameters. \u201cThis is what we are currently\ndiscussing, the schemes whether Pertamina will later accommodate the\ncrude oil or we process it so that the quality meets the fuel standards\nin Indonesia. This waste is of various kinds, with the same processing\nthe output quality is certainly different. This is what we are thinking\nabout, holding discussions with the ESDM and Pertamina for the\nabsorption of products from plastic into oil,\u201d he said. Meanwhile, for\ncommunity groups that have already sold this alternative fuel product,\nCuk Supriyadi emphasised that the sales are not conducted commercially,\nbut rather on the basis of an agreement between the producer and\nconsumer, with the quality accepted as is.<\/p>",
