        "content": "<p>The effort to strengthen the quality and competence of human\nresources in the mining sector continues to be accelerated through\nstrategic collaboration with higher education institutions. Through a\ncooperation agreement signed with Universitas Sembilanbelas November\n(USN) Kolaka in April 2026, PT Ceria Nugraha Indotama facilitated the\nsigning of an Academic Software Licence Agreement between Micromine\nAustralia Pty Ltd and USN Kolaka on Tuesday (15\/7) at the USN Kolaka\nAuditorium. The event was attended by officials from the Kolaka Regency\nGovernment, legislative members, university leaders, educators, a\nrepresentative from Micromine Australia Pty Ltd, and various other\nstakeholders. Kolaka Regency DPRD Chairman I Ketut Arjana and Commission\nIII Chairman Israfil Sanusi Caco were also present to show support for\nstrengthening collaboration between the education sector, industry, and\ngovernment in developing mining human resources in Kolaka Regency. This\npartnership is part of an effort to strengthen synergy between industry,\nuniversities, and government to improve the quality of higher education\nwhile preparing mining human resources with competencies aligned with\ntechnological developments and the needs of modern industry. Through\nthis agreement, USN Kolaka obtained 10 academic licences for Micromine\nsoftware, a mining software widely used by global mining companies. The\nsoftware supports various stages of mining activities, from exploration\nand geological modelling to resource estimation, mine planning, and\nproduction operations. The facilitation of these academic licences was\nsupported by Ceria with a contribution valued at approximately Rp10\nbillion. Access to this technology is expected to enhance the quality of\nlearning, strengthen research activities, and provide students with\npractical experience using software applied directly in the mining\nindustry. For USN Kolaka, this partnership represents a strategic step\nin strengthening a science and technology-based educational\ntransformation. As a developing public university in Southeast Sulawesi,\nUSN Kolaka is committed to improving the quality of education, research,\nand learning to better align with industry needs. The signing ceremony\nwas attended by Kolaka Regency Government officials, USN Kolaka\nleadership, educators, a Micromine Australia Pty Ltd representative, and\nPT Ceria Nugraha Indotama management, including President Director Abdul\nHaris Tatang, Chief Operating Officer Yusram Rantesalu, Corporate\nAffairs Director Djen Rizal, Human Capital &amp; Employee Service\nDirector Asep Susilo, and HSE, Sustainability &amp; Management System\nDirector Krishna Ismaputra. He added that mining engineering students\nare now required not only to understand geology and mining disciplines\nbut also to possess geospatial data analysis skills, proficiency in\nindustry software, leadership, and teamwork abilities. The Rector\nfurther explained that USN Kolaka continues to develop internship\nprogrammes and case study-based research with mining companies to ensure\nthat students\u2019 theoretical understanding aligns with global industry\noperational standards. Through this Academic Software Licence Agreement,\nUSN Kolaka can legally use Micromine Origin &amp; Beyond software for\neducational, training, and research purposes in geology and mining\nexploration. Micromine Australia Pty Ltd representative Fransiskus\nNugroho stated that the future of Indonesia\u2019s mining industry will be\nheavily influenced by three main pillars: the utilisation of real-time\nintegrated data, the application of artificial intelligence and\nautomation, and a commitment to sustainable and responsible mining\npractices.
