        "content": "<p>Bridge veterans win ASEAN title<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): The current best pair of Indonesian bridge<br>\nplayers, Hengky Lasut and Eddy Manoppo, won the Open Pair title<br>\nof the 16th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)<br>\nInterclub Bridge Championships in Genting Highland, Malaysia, the<br>\nIndonesian Contract Bridge Association (GABSI) announced<br>\nyesterday.<\/p>\n<p>The veteran pair collected 133 Match Points (MPs), 13 points<br>\nahead of Thailand&apos;s Kunaan and Maijarem, who finished second. The<br>\nbronze medal went to Singapore, whose total tally was only one<br>\npoint behind the Thais.<\/p>\n<p>In the mixed team event, an Indonesian-Thailand team won the<br>\nmatch after playing a total of 75 boards against each of its 25<br>\nopponents in the finals.<\/p>\n<p>The combined team, which garnered 146 MPs, consisted of three<br>\nIndonesian men, Sidi Purnomo, Sance Penelewan and Giovani, and<br>\ntwo Thailand women, Naina and Khanita (arf).<\/p>",
