        "content": "<p>Serang State Prosecutor\u2019s Office (Kejari Serang) has uncovered the\nexistence of \u2018tactical money\u2019 extortion at the Land Office (Kantor\nPertanahan) or the National Land Agency (BPN) in Serang City. Each\npermit application at Serang City\u2019s BPN is charged an additional fee\nranging from Rp250,000 to Rp500,000.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The suspects are alleged to have abused their power, directly or\nindirectly, by demanding money outside the Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP)\nfrom the applicants for land administration services, under the term\n\u2019uang taktis\u2019,\u2019 said Dodo Achmad Ekroni, the head of Kejari Serang, on\nWednesday (20 May 2026).<\/p>\n<p>In this case, the former Head of Kantah or BPN Serang City, Taufik\nRokhman (TR), has become a suspect and has been detained. In addition,\nthere are five other officials and former officials of BPN Serang City\nwho are also suspects.<\/p>\n<p>The case being investigated by Kejari Serang concerns alleged\nextortion in the licensing processes from 2021 to 2026. Dodo stated that\neach applicant was charged up to Rp500,000.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Per application, the maximum is Rp500,000. Some are Rp250,000.
