        "content": "<p>As a demonstration of concern for communities affected by the\nearthquake in Flores, BRI, through its Maumere Branch Office, has\ndistributed emergency aid to people at evacuation sites and health\nfacilities in the Maumere area of East Nusa Tenggara.<\/p>\n<p>The assistance consisted of 200 meal boxes provided to affected\nresidents at the Lingkar Luar Evacuation Camp and TC Hillers Maumere\nRegional Hospital on Saturday, 15 August 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Head of BRI Maumere Branch Office, Risky Darmawan, said the\ndistribution of aid was part of BRI\u2019s commitment through the BRI Peduli\nprogramme to be present and provide support to the community,\nparticularly during emergency response conditions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBRI shares the concern over the situation of communities affected by\nthe earthquake in Flores. Through BRI Peduli, we are working to provide\nassistance that can meet the needs of the community, especially during\nthe emergency response period. We have distributed this aid to several\nlocations in need, including evacuation camps and hospitals,\u201d said Risky\nDarmawan, Head of BRI Maumere Branch Office.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to distributing humanitarian aid, BRI continues to pay\nclose attention to the continuity of banking services for the\npublic.<\/p>\n<p>Operations and services of BRI in the Maumere area remain a priority,\nensuring that the transaction and banking service needs of the community\ncan continue to be served while taking into account conditions and\nsafety aspects on the ground.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAmid the emergency response situation, we are also continuously\nmonitoring operational conditions and the banking service needs of the\ncommunity. BRI is committed to continuing to provide services to\ncustomers while prioritising the safety of employees, customers, and the\npublic,\u201d Risky explained.<\/p>\n<p>Risky added that BRI will continue to monitor conditions and\ncommunity needs on the ground. Aid distribution will be carried out on\nan ongoing basis, adjusted to the needs and situation in the affected\nareas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will continue to coordinate and assess needs on the ground. If\nthere are still community needs that require support, BRI will continue\nto distribute aid in accordance with those conditions and needs,\u201d Risky\nadded.<\/p>\n<p>Through the BRI Peduli programme, BRI is committed to remaining\npresent in the community, including in disaster and emergency\nsituations.<\/p>\n<p>This presence is expected to help alleviate the needs of affected\ncommunities while serving as a tangible demonstration of BRI\u2019s concern\nfor the community and the environment surrounding its operational\nareas.<\/p>",
